The ACCORD Project

A project with a mandate to create a productive regional system (competitive both at the North American and international levels) in Québec regions, by identifying and developing niches of excellence that can become brands.

The ACCORD project has 5 specific objectives:

  • Position Québec regions as hubs of specific industrial skills, recognized in North America and abroad.
  • Increase productivity and employment by focusing on innovation and export activities.
  • Identify concrete economic projects with impact in Québec regions.
  • Identify group projects to improve the quality of life and vitality of the communities inQuébec regions.
  • Promote the development of intra- and inter-regional networks.

The ACCORD project is a national cooperation initiative between three main partners: the Québec regions, the Government of Québec and the Société générale de financement. Other partners could join the project, depending on specific regional characteristics.

An innovative idea

The ACCORD project helps bring together business people and entrepreneurs from the same region who have a common view of their business sector, its potential, and its strengths and weaknesses and who espouse a long-term strategy for it.
